Okay, I heard on a news story today that some people are protesting a "green" bible. It is made with soy inks and on recycled paper. The protesters seem to claim that - according to the bible - the Earth and its people are doomed, and that since life is fleeting, we will all die anyhow, thus, a green bible is offensive, against Christianity, and pointless.
So here is my question - Are Christians Eco-Friendly? Do most Christians and those religions that believe in a Christ-God go around defacing the Earth because of this belief in a doomsday that is apparently in the Bible?
I appreciate your commets, ideas, and feedback.

okay i will admit that i am not the most eco friendly conscious person in the world and that truthfully i am more concerned with things like my utility bill......so, how can i get my kids to be more aware of how much they waste?.....i got up at 3:30 this morning and went into the bathroom and i heard the tub drip, drip, dripping ~ it was the hot water that i turned off (and i know that the one who gave the dog a bath was the one who was last in there)....they do things like leave every light in the house on even when they aren't in the room....i have finally found a way to break them of leaving their bedroom lights on when they are not in there by taking the light bulbs out of the sockets so that when they go back in they have to ask why there are no bulbs (which of course i then explain).....i cant get them to stop using the heated dry option on the dishwasher so i have now taken away that luxury and started making them wash and dry by hand.....i do okay but am not made of money and these ARE some things that are energy friendly albeit my motives are for my own good.....how can i get them to pay better attention to these things?

I also use Swheat Scoop, a litter made from shredded wheat!! It is super bio-degradable and landfill-friendly. If anyone has cats, please use it as your litter!

at the same time I don't want to look weird either. I watch the tv show Bones and I picked up the official companion and they wrote that Emily Deschanel is a vegan, and she always looks lovely. I'd like to know where I can buy eco-friendly clothes, shoes, makeup even. :)

So, I had a great new years eve night. I'm sitting on the couch patiently waiting for midnight. We're watching the Dick Clark special on t.v. The Jonas Brothers come on (eye twitch). Ryan Seacrest appears talking about our awesome eco-friendly ball (because apparently ovens don't require that much power...shya ok). Then I see the ball, it gets all shimmery, the count down happens. There's a huge buildup and then....nothing. It's like someone went "Oh it's 12, let's hit the off-switch on the ball." Where were the light displays? Where were the fireworks? Where was the New Years eve I'm used to? Did you see the New Years displays all over the world? Yea, I am not a happy camper. How about you?
Well, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who was thoroughly disappointed. Although, the look on my dad's face when the Jonas brothers started playing was priceless.
